I’m Erin McCarthy. I am a graduate of the Functional Medicine Coaching Academy. I live in Wilmette, IL with my husband, two teenage children and Labrador retriever, Rosie.

I have been interested in health and wellness most of my life and have been on my own healing journey for the last 15 years.

When my daughter was two she was diagnosed with leukemia. She endured two years of chemotherapy treatments, multiple surgeries and several hospitalizations. One year into her treatment, I was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, which I now believe resulted from stress and a dysregulated nervous system. My son has ADHD and autism and has faced many mental health challenges over the years.

All of these things caused me to take an interest in functional medicine and try to determine the root causes behind everything my family was facing. Over the years we have made health a huge priority. We now know the importance of nutrition, movement, sleep and nervous system care. We have gone back to the basics and have found that simpler really is better when it comes to health and wellness.

I love using what I’ve learned about functional medicine and balance along with coaching practices to help women like me who might need a little support on the journey.
